High School Graduates

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES-CONDITIONS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  Arabic High schools inside Kuwait (Governmental/Private) Bilingual and American System British System (IGCSE)
Conditions

-CGPA is minimum 70% (Engineering programs) , 65% (Computer program ).

The applicant must complete a high school in the scientific stream

The high school diploma must not be more than 10 years old. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis, upon the President's approval.

For the engineering programs, the graduating percentage should not be less than 70% (2.5 on the 4 point system). For the Computer Science program the graduating percentage should not be less than 65% (2.25 on the 4 point system).

The school must be certified by the Ministry of higher Education in Kuwait

The student must pass the following subjects in High school: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 11, Calculus or Pre- Calculus, 4 years of mathematics.

Bilingual schools that follow the credit hour system: the number of passed credits is minimum 24

Online courses are not counted

The GPA calculation rate for American and bilingual schools is as follows: (CGPA+1*20)

High school certificate must include four scientific subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math) and two elective courses e.g. (Arabic & English). Only one D grade is allowed. Exceptions to the number of D grades rule can be decided on a case by case basis.

Tests of English, Arabic and Islamic studies must be certified by the Ministry of Education, or issued by the British Council or the private school that gives the material as a simplified second language (simplified Arabic or Simplified Islamic studies) within Kuwait

Required Documents

True copy of the high school certificate in Arabic & English, showing the sequence of the last three consecutive years

True copy of high school certificate must be certified by Department of Private Education

Equivalency from the Department of Private Education

Certificates of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades

Study sequences paper certified by the Ministry of Private Education in sate of Kuwait.

Note : The following documents are required from high school Graduates graduating from foreign countries:

  • High schools completed in institutions outside of Kuwait must be certified by the following: Kuwait Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, and Department of Private Education
  • Equivalency from Ministry of Private Education must be provided
  • Saudi high school graduates must also submit the following documents: aptitude and placement tests

IELTS/TOEFL CERTIFICATE

Applicants can be exempted from the English entrance exam if the following conditions apply:

  • Minimum scores are: 5.5 (IELTS), 72 (TOEFL)
  • Validity of the certificate is 2 years
